The World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships is the highest level competition for swimmers globally under the age of 18. Kate Hurst of Scarlet Aquatic’s became a World Junior National Champion this past weekend in the 1500M Freestyle with a time of 16:09.37.
The time ranks her 12th all time in United States history and places her fourth in the country. She dropped nearly 10 seconds from her previous best time at the 2023 Summer Junior National Championships earlier this month. Kate has become part of the USA National Team after her performance.
